To me, part of happiness is being able to achieve normality (or at least as much normality as possible), to be able to to be with you and spend time with you, to love to hold and to cherish you, coz being with you, i feel invincible in the world ridden with pain and suffering, its time with you that i better appreciate the good side of life, the hope in life, and the future of me, of us.
Thanks for tirelessly being around as my listening ear, as the “volunteered” person to listen to all my rants and complaints, as my confidante in all my woes and sorrows, taking it all up with nowhere else to vent to, sorry for having to put you thru all the pain that I have to go thru as well, I’m just really really glad that I still have you to look forward to..
Grrr.
Well, its been eons since I last updated about the Chicken Pox. Basically after like the 6th-7th day, everything was definitely a lot better in terms of general feeling and everything. You can really feel the difference in that it seems that the body has finally manage to suppress the crazy virus. Even managed to watch RPO Symphonic Rock on the friday (3rd Apr?). The biggest problem after that is really the entire healing process. Its not made any better that the stupid pox came just before I wanted to cut my hair. So the torture of having to wash super long hair very carefully (coz of the scabs on the scalp, yes, gross) and everything. Really tough getting the hair dry, showering was such a torture. So today, I’ve had a minor victory against the pox — I’ve finally managed to cut my hair. After ensuring that almost all of the scabs on the scalp were gone (less one on the sideburn), I bravely went to the hairdresser’s for a haircut. So it turned out well and now I’ve got nice short hair again, its so liberating and such a total morale booster. Its one more step towards normality and one less torture every shower.
So what’s the next worry? Scarring. As much as people say and articles say that scarring generally occurs only if you scratch and it gets bacteria infected, I think its not as simple as that. The bigger poxes dropped off leaving pock marks without scratching. Maybe I caused it to drop off accidentally or something, but its definitely unnerving that after a good whole month, my face still looks battle-scarred with lots of obvious red marks. Started applying Vitamin E cream on the skin about 2 weeks back, regret not doing it earlier, coz its said that the earlier these are done, the quicker the scars will fade. The deeper ones are generally lifelong, and will only look less obvious with time. Counting my face, I can see at least 2-3 relatively deep looking scars, so I think these will take years to look less obvious. How long more should I continue the vitamin E regime? I don’t know, but it is definitely demoralising reading how chicken pox scars can stay on bugging you for years. I guess I really just have to live with it, so to those who haven’t seen me in a while, no more smooth complexion. Bleaghs, shall just look on the bright side, that I’ve finally managed to get a haircut.
Update: Checked with peng about the chicken pox scars. Well, typically the reddish marks can take up to months to heal fully, then some of it may have hyperpigmentation, which stays on for years to come (might or might not fade over time), so if I see darkish patches, gg. As for depressions, any depressions to the skin coz of the scabs will most likely stay on for life. So having seen about 1 at where my dimple is, 1-2 on the forehead, well gg. haha. I think here and there also have, chin etc. I F*CKING HATE YOU CHICKEN POX. Oh well. I’ll get over it. In due time.
Why did I become a liverpool fan? Accolades and achievements in recent years? Nope, when I became a fan, Istanbul hadn’t been pulled off and the reds have still not won the elusive 19th premiership title. Its the spirit of the club and its history and its supporters. Often boasting themselves as the best supporters in the world, I agree completely! Fine there’s still always the periodic wanting of Rafa out, thinking he’s mad, bitching about transfers and stuff, but when it comes to the games and putting support behind the lads on the pitch, the way the true fans rally together and give that 12th man support is incredible. Having had the fortune of actually watching a match in anfield with duh duh last year, this was really reinforced completely. Which other club out there (ok at least to my limited knowledge, at least to the premier league) sings a song at the start of every home game, and will never fail to sing it at around the 85th minute regardless of whether we’re home or away, trashing our opponents or trailing like crap? It unites everyone and its a powerful powerful song that’s become the motto of LFC, You’ll Never Walk Alone. Amazing. Even the title itself is signature of what it means to be liverpool, the never say die spirit even though we’ve always been the underdogs in the top 4, always being written off, always being under scrutiny and being viewed as the sad wannabes. But we just keep going, we just keep supporting and its really cool seeing some of the beautiful banners and flags that the fans proper have made and never fail to fly at the matches. This season is probably our best season so far, minus the amazing win in Istanbul back in 2005, and I think its soon about time we finally reap the rewards of all that the club and supporters have done for many many years. Haha again its a long shot, but we’ll just keep trying. Idealistic, yes, practical, maybe, but its always good to still have dreams and aspirations in a world today that’s plagued with too many practicalities and realities. YNWA.

Half-time lead 2-0, we just needed one more to win, dominated the whole first half, bad bad miss by torres, basically left him totally quiet for the rest of the match. Then drogba scored, ok, fair enough, we still need 1 more to bring this to extra time, then Alex scored a powerful freekick. Alright, 2 to win. Then lampard scored. 3 to win, gutted, it has to be over? No, Lucas scored through a deflection! 2 to win, plenty of time, then Kuyt scored! OMFG. 8 mins to go, there must be a chance! 1 more to get through! Is this istanbul? Plenty of chances after that, liverpool went to having only 3 defenders with carragher playing midfield! Then well lampard finished it off for chelsea with like 3-4 min to go? I think the biggest biggest consolation is the never say die attitude. From needing 3 goals to win with 90 min to 1 goal to win by 45th min to needing 3 again by 76th min and scoring two back within a span of 2 minutes, leaving 1 goal to win with about 7 minutes left, until lampard finally put an end to in the 89th. It was really really possible. I think the players did really well and the mental spirit was really there. Like what the BBC commentators said I think we should get out the match proud and much more confident, knowing that we have the right spirit to challenge even if the task seems insurmountable. But I guess realistically it’ll probably still be a let down at the end of the season, but hey, if we can finish 2nd and really mount a big challenge, why not? If we can win, it speaks volumes about the way the mentality has changed recently, there’s more confidence, so if we keep that up, next season will be definitely worth watching.
Overall thrilling match, Cech was dodgy, liverpool had a real good chance, but poor finishing at various occasions and torres having a bad day off just didn’t give enough goals (4 is not enough?!) Reina made some big blunders as well, but did well to stop quite a few other goals, but ultimately in such a match with quality attackers and chelsea’s attackers are really good (anelka super sub in 36th minute), liverpool’s not very pacey defence couldn’t stop their many attacks. I think we definitely need to step up the defence, and the attacking side needs more hunger and finishing. Reina’s superb most of the time but whenever he makes a mistake, its severely punished. Hais, nvm, quite sian but really, we should be very very proud of the way we took up the challenge, the fighting spirit was incredible. Premiership champions anyone?

I think we all know very well that we were comprehensively outsmarted by Gus. Everything spot on, Gerrard was silent from man-marking by Essien, the left flank was totally shite in attack vs Ivanhovic, Riera couldn’t do it, Babel was even worse. Chelski poured forward for all the set pieces and sure enough, CRAP marking in the box gifted _2_ unmarked header goals to Ivanhovic. Chelski just kept piling on the pressure, the liverpool midfield was rendered useless, Lampard and Ballack just commanded the midfield and Liverpool just never looked like they were gonna get back into the game at all. Subs were late and quite useless, dossena, “i-love-giving-the-ball-away” Babel, Yossi the savior couldn’t do anything too. I think we miss Mascherano a lot. So yea, comprehensively beaten, and it had to be a champions league home leg. So there you go, 3 away goals for chelsea, we now need a 3-0 at stamford bridge to win, a 3-1 to draw. Cool eh?
Got this off LFC Reds forum, the responses were oddly not as bitter and pissed off than the defeat we suffered at Middlesborough (quite rightly so too).
We’ve got nothing to lose now, I want to see Rafa go for it in the second leg, Agger, Carragher, Skrtel in central defence. Mascherano in defensive midfield, Alonso playing ahead of him, Reira and Kuyt on the wings, Benayoun and Gerrard behind Torres.
Looking at Chelsea and how they’re reacting I can’t wait for the oppertunity for them to give us the chance to f**king stuff them. They think its over, its a long shot, but we’ve been in worse situations before. We’ve got absolutely nothing to f**king lose, I want to see us taking the game to them and taking the f**king smirk off their face. Nothing to lose. - LFC Reds Forum
Screwed up. Guess you can’t be living on cloud 9 all the time eh? But the mancs seem to be able to -sulk-. Good season nonetheless, should try to finish it with a bang.
Haha these are so gonna fuel her ego. :p

Hehe was playing around with one of the B&W conversion methods and this was what I came up with lol. Didn’t have words initially but thought after the borders that the words would’ve made so much more an impact :p The initial words were “Zhuai.” but I thought confidence was more motivational
